Ballet BC

Ballet BC’s new home on Granville Island was completed in three phases with two separate building permits. This allowed for staggered construction to meet the client’s operational needs.

The project renovated 18,000 sf of former Arts Umbrella space to create two large rehearsal studios, a kitchen/lounge, artist dressing rooms, a gym, offices and a reception area.⁠

The scope of work involving two buildings included full lighting upgrades, layout redesign, new windows, flooring, mechanical closet upgrade, and interior finishes. Additionally, one building received a new flat roof, building envelope upgrades, and an improved electric HVAC system while the other building received structural upgrades, window replacement and the addition of perimeter drainage.
