Slack Canada
Project Type: Office
Designer: Leckie Studio
Location: Vancouver
Using a Construction Management approach, CDC worked with Slack to fit-out two floors of a heritage building in Yaletown. While opening up the floors for the interconnected stair, CDC was able to salvage a large supporting beam to use as a table in the lounge, giving Slack the option to reinstall the beam into its original location if they ever move or the next tenant wishes to close the opening to the stairs. The final design showcases the building’s unique character with exposed brick and heavy timber beam structure while updating the interior with modern details, warm finishes and locally sourced materials.
