Project Type: Healthcare

Location: Vancouver

The Perinatal Research Imaging Evaluation (PRIME) Centre is an imaging research facility dedicated to developing new technology and applications to benefit the health of mothers and babies. The purpose of this project was to create a hub within BCWH for a coalition of scientists working with biomedical engineers, epidemiologists and industry experts to improve maternal, fetal and newborn health. The project entailed the renovation of a portion of the old Sterile Processing Department (SPD) shell space to serve as the new PRIME Centre and accompanying WHRI Laboratory. The developed area includes the relocated PRIME Centre with offices, ultrasound room, group room, a wet lab and required support spaces.
