Vancouver General Hospital – Hybrid OR

The new Hybrid OR revolutionized surgical care environments by giving surgeons access to state-of-the-art equipment to deliver the highest level of care, all in one room. The renovation converted an existing operating room into a Hybrid OR which had radiological imaging equipment and booms to accommodate minimally invasive procedures and complex open surgery. The adjacent rooms and washrooms were relocated and a portion of the public corridor was realigned to create the control room for the operating suite. CDC was also the first contractor in Western Canada to install the Cleansuite system – a ceiling system that integrated structure, air delivery and room lighting for surgical suites.
