Vancouver General Hospital – EP Lab

This project included converting existing office space into an EP Lab supported by administration areas, reading rooms, an expanded high acuity unit, clean supply room and soiled utility room. Due to the size and scope of the project, 10 phases were required to renovate areas and move departments, all within an operational facility. The EP Lab also required extensive infrastructure to be added to support the new equipment, including mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades. Over 150 mechanical and electrical shutdowns were performed during the renovation, requiring extensive planning and communication with staff in a busy operational hospital.
